Committees

Currently the Chamber has committees designed to cover several main areas of interest.

  1. Chamber activities from a chamber administration and chamber events point of view.
  2. Committees assigned to represent the chamber at various organizations in the Strathmore and District area.

These can be a person from an organization that wants to be represented as a chamber member. Please note that such a person is invited to make presentations on behalf of the organization they represent at chamber meetings but holds the position of a member (must pay chamber registration fee, has one vote as any other member), and is not a member of the board of directors unless elected. Another option is for a chamber board member to represent the chamber to an organization and report back to the chamber on related developments.

Committee structure:

Usually a chamber board member will be the chairperson of the committee with chamber members forming the rest of the committee. All chamber members are welcome and are encouraged to be on a committee of their choice. It is a great way to interact with the chamber, business and the community.
